Sometimes this seems like a great way to deal with frustration!
As you all know by now, Captain Morgan makes his living repairing broken machinery. Machinery in a foundry is especially difficult to repair and breaks often due to the harsh environment. I love the work I do and I like the people I work with. But....sometimes I am AMAZED at the questions us millwrights get asked. And sometimes.... it's tempting to just tip someone over!
For example:
Production Foreman: Is it broken real bad?
Millwright: Well, it's broken bad enough it won't run. That bad enough for ya?
Machine Operator: It's been making funny noises all night, but I thought it'd last till the next shift.
Millwright: Just not your lucky night, huh?
Production Foreman: How long will it take to fix?
Millwright: A lot longer if you keep pestering me.
Production Foreman: Isn't there a way to do a temporary fix?
Millwright: Do you see all those little pieces of metal laying there in the bottom of the case? There's nothing temporary I can do for that.
Production Foreman: If you can get this machine fixed by the end of the shift I'll do a happy dance all the way to the front gate.
Millwright: How 'bout you start dance'n and maybe I'll be finished by the time you get to the gate. If not.....just keep on going!
And so.....off I go for another night of fun and frolic in the foundry!
