 Rock'n With The Captain

The old captain's been messing around again. So far it appears I'm a devilsfood donut and a soy latte. I might buy the donut part, but I can't figure out how I'm a soy latte. But there's lots of stuff in my life I can't figure out. Now I find out my musical classification is a 70's rocker. H'mmmmm. Wrong again! Well, sort've. Me and a bunch of my musician friends once did about a twenty minute long version of the old rock tune, Louie Louie. It was the wildest version of that song ever done. I'm sure of it. And we did an extended cover of Damn The Pusher Man. The haunting tune that made Steppenwolf famous. But then Steppenwolf was at their best in the 60's, so I'm not sure that counts. Oh. Wait. Louie Louie was released in the 60's to. Oh well, so the test missed by ten years.
I mean, after all, I'm really more of a 60's version of a bluesman. But c'mon down. You're all welcome to rock with the captain!

 Ms. C's Dancing Frog

I have once again amazed myself! A friend of mine, a Blogstream Celebrity of monumental proportions requested Captain Morgan's assistance in creating the Great Dancing Frog.
Anxious to comply, I immediately retreated into Captain Morgan's Workshop and set to work. Good fortune smiled down on me and I was able to procure a variety of talented and amazing frogs who've inhabited the Bean-A-Sphere since it's inception. A series of highly complex tests revealed that I did indeed have ONE frog that exhibited the necessary musical talents I required. I have named my new invention the Roaring Frog. She is amazing. (I have it on good authority that in a past life she was a ballerina.)
And so, I present to you, ColoConnect, the great Dancing Frog! She boogies with total abandon and croaks on command. Ain't science grand??

Another Piece Of Captain Morgan's Puzzle

What better to go with a delightful Devils Food Donut??? A soy latte? Absolutely. Wait! Is that giggling I hear??? Having a tough time envisioning the old sea captain as a soy latte? Arrrrgggghhh. Well...It does seem a wee bit odd. But then I AM the Keeper Of Odd Knowledge. And something of a multi-faceted personality. (I know, some would call it more of a psychological disorder.) Oh oh....there's something amiss. Dogmatic maybe. But picky?? The old captain's many things, but certainly NOT picky.
I shall now search the seas from end to end and ferret out the scoundrel that devised this test. Avast, mateys! Keep a sharp eye out on the starboard bow!

 Moms & Daughters

Moms and daughters share all manner of common bonds. Few can say they've shared a more unique bond than Chey and her daughter, Merri-Dawn. Dawn began following in her mother's footsteps at the tender age of nine. Her younger brother was her first work-out partner. That lasted until Dawn constantly defeated him. He adamantly refused to wrestle with her any more. She was too rough, he insisted. As Dawn reached her teen years, she became the typical rebellious teenager. It wasn't unusual for mom and daughter's tempers to flare often during those times.
When Dawn was nineteen she challenged her mother's NAWWA Championship and it was, as Chey puts it, one of the toughest matches of her career. Mom kept her championship, but it was an incredibly grueling match and one that Chey remembers fondly.
The memories are just a few of the many special bonds... bonds shared in a special way. Bonds between mom and daughter.

Following The Light Of A Distant Fire

There are times when the seas I sail in my mind become stormy and turbulent. Sometimes I misplace my navigational maps. Sometimes I just get tired. It is times like those when I find myself following the light of a distant fire.
